I consider Albert Einstein as
a genius in the study of quantum physics.
In 1915 Einstein introduced the theory of universal relativity, which
reformulated the whole concept of gravity. It was his knowledge, the emergence
of the scientific study of the origin and evolution of the universe by the
branch of physics called cosmology.
Although considered by some as the "father of the atomic bomb,"
Einstein advocated world federalism, internationalism, pacifism and democratic
socialism, with a strong devotion to individual liberty and freedom of
expression.
Also one of my favorite scientists is Nikola Tesla. Tesla was an inventor, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, physicist and
developer of the birth of commercial electricity. He is known especially for
his many revolutionary inventions in the field of electromagnetism. Tesla's
patents and theoretical work formed the basis of modern electrical power
systems with alternating current, including the polyphase system of electrical
distribution and the alternating current motor, which greatly contributed to
the birth of the Second Industrial Revolution.
Both characters are my inspiration in the field of physics and concern for scientific progress.
